Recognizing the Mopar trademark
The Mopar name had a unique beginning that dates all the way back to the 1930s. Chrysler Motor Parts had created a logo with these letters: D, C, P and D. These stood for Dodge Chrysler, Plymouth and Desoto. In 1937, an Activities Council led by Chrysler's sales promotional manager Nelson L. Farley was trying to come up with a product name for Chrysler Motor Parts antifreeze cans. The group brainstormed until they came up with the simple name "Mopar."
Mopar is simply a combination of the words "motors and parts." It was easy to remember and to the point. Mopar was quickly adopted by Chrysler and consumers. Under the Mopar name, Chrysler has been able to develop quality automotive parts and many amazing engines. It wasn't long before the name Mopar was associated with quality engineering.
Preserving the memoirs of yesteryears while helpng protect the hopes of today.
